Objectives:
Principle areas of focus for the aircraft maintenance facilities are:
Apron area: 65.000m² with 6 Code-D positions
Hangar capacity: 1 Code-D and 2 Code-C positions
Staff: 300 people at the workshop, 150 per shift; 30 employees for the administration functions
The maintenance area is situated to the east of the runway and to the south of taxiway “sierra”. The overall maintenance area, without apron, for the first phase comprised approx. 37.500m² and is to form the maintenance hangar, workshops, administrative areas and the allocated parking lots.
FAST TRACK PROJECT
Compared to usual projects of this size, the planning time was reduced by 35%. This was possible through the consistent use of our planning tools.
CAPEX REDUCTION
In the course of planning, we were able to reduce the CAPEX by 19%. This was possible through far-reaching optimization measures.
